收藏着录: 故宫书画录(卷八),第四册,页169 收藏着录: 盛京故宫书画录,第二册,页9 内容简介(中文): 米芾(西元一○五一-一一○八年),北宋书画家、鑑赏家,祖籍太原(山西),迁襄阳(湖北襄樊)。徽宗赵佶召为书画学博士,官至礼部员外郎。因举止狂放,世称「米颠」。行草书博取前人所长,用笔豪放,有「风樯阵马,沉着痛快」之评。此卷虽掌握米芾书法形态,然用笔轻挑柔弱,点画间亦时显自家笔法,整体水准远逊米芾。另有他本传世,内容及书写位置皆与本卷接近,惟点画间略有不同。(20120104) 内容简介(英文): Mi Fu was a painter, calligrapher, and connoisseur whose ancestors hailed from Taiyuan (Shanxi) but had moved to Xiangyang (Xiangfan, Hubei). Emperor Huizong recruited him as Doctor of Painting and Calligraphy, and he also was Vice Director of Rites. With an unbridled character, he was known as “Eccentric Mi.” In running and cursive scripts he searched among the ancients, his brushwork unrestrained like a “mast in wind” and “charging horses” for a “steady yet enthusiastic” style. This scroll grasps the form of Mi’s style, but the brush flicks weakly and the strokes occasionally reveal the actual artist’s manner, the overall effect distant from Mi’s. In another version, the contents and writing are similar, showing slight differences in strokes.(20120104)
