收藏着录： 石渠宝笈初编（养心殿），上册，页488 收藏着录： 故宫书画录（卷八），第四册，页28 内容简介（中文）： 陈继儒（西元一五五八－一六三九年），江苏华亭人。字仲醇，号眉公。擅长诗歌文赋，时与董其昌齐名。晚年隐居佘山，致力书画着述，屡征不仕，有「山中宰相」之名。陈继儒的书法师苏轼、米芾，用笔骏快，意趣雄浑是其特色。本幅端凝紧炼，笔画圆腴，体势颀长。选自「明人扇头书册」。 内容简介（英文）： Ch'en Chi-ju, a native of Hua-t'ing (modern Shanghai), specialized in poetry and prose. At the time, he was as famous as Tung Ch'i-ch'ang. In his later years, he lived in seclusion at Mt. She, where he focused on painting, calligraphy and writing. Often invited by the emperor to come out of retirement, he refused (hence his nickname "Prime Minister of the Mountains"). Ch'en's calligraphy followed the styles of Su Shih and Mi Fu. His use of brush was quick and forceful. This work is a refinement of the essence of his style, resulting in the condensed and sometimes heavy quality.
