收藏着录： 石渠宝笈初编（御书房），下册，页1143 收藏着录： 故宫书画录（卷五），第三册，页413 收藏着录： 故宫书画图录，第八册，页135-136 内容简介（中文）： 陆师道，西元一五一四至一五八０尚在。长洲人，字子传，号元洲，更号五湖。嘉靖戊戌进士，游文征明门，称弟子。工诗古文及书画，征明四绝，并能传之。 浅绛山水，一士子持卷坐树阴下，对山讽诵。用笔苍劲，视乃师为恣肆矣。而画中一种雅澹之气，固是衡山本色也。款题嘉靖甲辰，是三十一岁作。 内容简介（英文）： Lu Shih-tao was a native of Ch’ang-chou, Kiangsu province. His style name was Tzu-ch’uan, his sobriquet Yüan-chou and Wu-hu. He received his chin-shih degree in 1538. A student of Wen Cheng-ming’s, Lu excelled in poetry, classics, painting and calligraphy and was able to maintain “four excellences” for which his master was widely acclaimed. Executed in light color, this work depicts a scholar sitting beneath the shade of a tree. His hand holds a scroll and he chants his text as he faces the mountains. The brush is wielded powerfully, and when compared with that of his teacher Wen Cheng-ming, more freely. But the refined and subtle flavor pervading the painting reveals that Lu has well attained and conveyed the true essense of Wen Cheng-ming. The inscription states that the work was completed in 1544 when the artist was thirty-one years old.
