收藏着录: 故宫书画录(卷五),第三册,页432-433 收藏着录: 故宫书画图录,第九册,页125-126 内容简介(中文): 关思,乌程人,字何思,号虚白,一名九思,字仲通,善山水。万历间与宋旭齐名。现存画蹟,最早成于万历庚子(一六00),最晚成于崇祯庚午(一六三0),垂三十年。生卒年不详。 此为传世关画最早之一帧,笔墨圆成,已是盛年之作。全幅层山复水,尽繁缛之能事。压顶一峰,愈远愈淡。峰外用青赭横拖远岸,草草数笔,遂觉江天浩阔。使人心中滓秽俱消也,惟能繁而不能厚,能巧而不能清,是为少欠。 内容简介(英文): Kuan Ssu was a native of Wu-ch’eng, Chekiang. His style name was Ho-ssu; his sobriquets were Hsü-pai, Chiu-ssu and Chung-t’ung. Excelling in landscape painting, Kuan Ssu and Sung Hsü were equally famous during the Wan-li period (1573-1619). The earliest painting by Kuan Ssu still extant is dated 1600; the latest 1630. This is one of his earliest paintings now extant. The fluency of brush and ink reveal that it is a mature work. The painting is composed of serried peaks and layered streams which are painted with increasingly dilute washes as they recede into the distance. Blue and ochre pigment are used on the mountains and distant embankments.
