He later reassumed his position in the southern Sung and was appointed vice-director of the painting of animals, flowers and birds, and bamboo and rocks, which are imbued with vitality and charm.This painting depicts a very engaging kitten as it crouches with paws outstretched .In painting the kitten’s further artist has first dabbed the mottled coat and then meticulously outlined those areas in white .In the upper right-hand corner of the work inscription,” Painted by Li Ti in the chia-wu year. “Below it is a rectangular-shaped path which may have may have originally borne a signature or seal. This is the first from the album Sung Yüan ming-hui.
