This large hanging scroll describes a court arrangement. The beautifully decorated vase includes an arrangement of equally attractive blossoms, including crape myrtle and peach. Next to it in the glass bowl, four goldfish leisurely swim among water plants. The flowers were painted in the “sketching from life” manner. Done very carefully, not a single stroke appears missing. In fine brushwork with as much care as the vase decoration, they form a harmonious relationship. Painters beautified court life, and they made hanging scrolls to decorate palace buildings. Perhaps Ch’en was a Ch’ing dynasty court painter. 网页展示说明 此幅巨作绘有敞口珐瑯彩花尊，内插紫藤、桃花等花卉。画花卉以写生手法，中规中矩，一笔不茍。花器颈肩交接处饰以蕉叶纹，器身以长方开光为主纹，内绘水墨仿古山水，外填宝莲团花纹。画面器物采左高右低平行式排列，旁侧透明玻璃鱼缸内，成双成对的金鱼悠游于荇藻间，象征着盛世清平、富贵平安、和谐美满的景象。 此图以诸品花卉、鱼草组合，并置于尊盆器物中，应为案头清供之物。陈兆凤生卒年不详，为清代晚期宫廷画家。(20110103) 网页展示说明 This large scroll depicts a painted enamelware vase with a flaring rim, in which appear branches of wisteria and peach blossoms. The painting of the flowers is done in the "sketching from life" manner, following all the rules without a stroke missing. The shoulder of the vase is decorated with a plantain-leaf pattern, the angular openings of decoration on the body revealing the main subject of landscapes in ink imitating antiquity. The background is filled with a pattern of lotus-blossom clusters. The two vessels of different heights are here shown next to each other. The short transparent glass fish bowl is home to two pairs of goldfish swimming leisurely among the water plants, symbolizing such notions as a world at peace, peace and prosperity, and happiness and harmony.The combination of flowers, fish, and plants here in refined vessels suggests pure offerings placed on a desk. Although the dates of Chen Zhaofeng are unknown, he is known to have been a court artist of the late Qing.(20110103) 网页展示说明 この大作には口の広がった珐瑯彩の花尊（花を生ける器物の一つ）が描かれている。花尊には藤や桃などの花々が生けてあり、规则に则った写生法で描かれた花々にはいささかも疎かな所がない。花器の首と肩が繋がる部分は芭蕉纹で饰られ、本体は长方形の开光（窓のように枠取りした纹様）が主な装饰纹様となっており、その内侧には古代の作风を模した水墨山水画が描かれ、宝莲団花纹で縁取られている。画面左右に高さの异なる器物が配されている。背の高い花尊の傍らに置かれた透明なガラスの金鱼钵に赤と黒4匹の金鱼がいて、水草の合间をゆったりと泳いでいる。これは、豊かで太平な世の中、富贵と平安、幸せに満ちた様子を象徴している。 本作に描かれた花々、金鱼と水草はいずれも器の中に収められており、「案头清供」（新年などのめでたい赠り物、机上の装饰品）に违いない。陈兆凤、生没年不详、清代晩期の宫廷画家である。(20110103)
