Six children gracefully perform the lion dance in a garden at the New Year. Three court ladies leading children appreciate the spectacle from a terrace. One child holds a pomegranate, a symbol of fertility. Another holds a lantern decorated with the bat motif, which symbolizes happiness and blessings. The colors are applied with rich clarity, and the brushwork is fine.
